Storefronts built to convert — and to be run by your team.
We're a Shopify Partner. We build custom themes and headless storefronts, with the merchandising, subscription, and integration work that makes a store operable day to day — not just launchable.

You're probably here because…
These are the situations teams are usually in when they come to us about e-commerce. If more than one lands, we should talk.
- The theme is fighting the brand, and every change needs a developer.
- Traffic is fine but conversion drops off a cliff at the cart.
- Your merchandising team has ideas they can't execute without booking a sprint.
- You've outgrown a hosted platform and a replatform keeps getting postponed.
- Subscriptions, bundles, or B2B pricing don't fit the template you're on.
The work, spelled out
No mystery line items. This is what we deliver and what you get to keep.
Custom Shopify themes
Built section by section so your team can compose new pages without a developer, and without the theme drifting from the brand.
Headless & composable commerce
Shopify as the commerce engine with a custom front end, when the storefront experience genuinely warrants it.
Checkout & conversion work
Find where the funnel leaks, fix it, and measure the difference — cart, checkout, and everything leading into them.
Subscriptions, bundles & promotions
Recurring orders, kits, tiered and B2B pricing, and the promotional mechanics your merchandisers want to run.
Migration & replatforming
Products, customers, and order history moved over with the redirect map planned before anything goes live.
Custom cart & merchandising tools
The bespoke pieces — custom carts, product configurators, filtered collections — that off-the-shelf apps can't quite do.
How this looks in practice

A cart your merchandisers can actually use
Recovery Room sells recovery equipment that people research before buying — so the storefront needed more than a stock theme. We built a custom cart and product presentation around how the brand actually sells, then handed the merchandising controls to their team.
- Custom cart built around the brand's buying journey
- Section-based pages the team composes themselves
- Product presentation tuned for considered purchases
- Maintained and improved long after launch

When headless is worth it — and when it isn't
Headless buys you a front end with no theme constraints. It costs you Shopify's built-in tooling, a second system to host, and a longer path for every small change. For Rooks To Cooks, custom program filtering inside a themed build was the right call. We will tell you when the simpler option is the better one.
- Themed builds: faster to ship, cheaper to run
- Headless: full control when the experience demands it
- The recommendation comes with the reasoning attached
- Either way, merchandising stays in your team's hands
What we do differently here
The choices that decide whether this kind of work holds up a year later.
- 1
Audit the funnel before the design
Analytics first. Redesigning a store without knowing where it loses people is decoration, not commerce work.
- 2
Build sections, not pages
Every layout becomes a reusable, configurable section so your team composes new pages long after we're done.
- 3
Map redirects before migrating
On a replatform, the URL map is planned up front. Rankings and paid landing pages survive the move.
- 4
Measure after launch
Conversion, page speed, and search performance get watched post-launch — launch day is a checkpoint, not the finish.
What we build it with
Every tool here earned its place. The point isn't the logos — it's the reasoning behind them.
The commerce engine we trust for payments, tax, and fulfilment — problems you should never be paying us to rebuild.
Native theme development, so the store keeps working with Shopify's own tooling and app ecosystem.
For headless builds: a custom storefront with Shopify still handling checkout.
Catches integration mistakes against the Shopify API before a customer finds them.
Keeps a section-based theme visually consistent as it grows past the pages we designed.
Where payments run outside Shopify Checkout — subscriptions and non-standard billing flows.
Work we've shipped
The same capability, already delivered for someone else.

Three ways we take on the work
Which one fits depends on the project — we'll recommend a shape after a discovery conversation, not before.
Project-based
A defined scope, an agreed timeline, and a fixed quote. We scope it after discovery, so the number means something.
Best forA theme build or a replatform.
Ongoing retainer
A recurring block of our time each month for continuous work — improvements, support, and whatever the roadmap needs next.
Best forSeasonal campaigns and continuous conversion work.
Time & materials
Billed for the time the work actually takes. Best when the scope will genuinely move as we learn.
Best forMerchandising and integration work that shifts week to week.
E-Commerce, specifically
The questions teams ask us most about this kind of work.
The rest of what we do
Most projects touch more than one of these. We cover the whole build.
